Saline stress in maize grown in soil under different mulches

The use of mulch in the soil attenuates saline stress corn plants. objective this study was to evaluate effect irrigation with brackish water under different plant mulches on productive performance corn. carried out field conditions, at Piroás experimental farm Universidade da Integração Internacional Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira, UNILAB, Redenção, Ceará, Brazil, from August November 2020. design a 5 × 3 factorial scheme, four replications, first factor being electrical conductivity water, which A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5, refers 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 dS m-1, respectively, second types (no - NM; banana leaves MBL, spontaneous plants MSP. following were evaluated: ear mass without straw, 1,000 grains, length diameter ear, yield. Saline reduces corn, straw presence weeds leaves. leaf is more efficient for smaller reduction weight grains compared control treatment (without mulch). Banana associated 1.0 3.0 m-1 enabled higher yield mulch.
